Testimonial from The Parslow Family's B'nai Mitzvah

What a fabulous experience.

The sessions with Rabbi Sugarman were deeply personal and connected. This was very important to us as a family. He mentored with an openness that allowed my boys' natural curiosity to engage as they studied their Torah portions, and their unique relation to the teachings evolved.

On the day of their B'nai Mitzvah, both felt well prepared and ready to fully embrace their ritual.

The service was a magical celebration. It was everything we had hoped for—abundantly creative, intimate, filled with music and spirit.

The entire experience inspired and honored my children, and all who came to support them.

In sincere Love and Gratitude,

-The Parslow Family

Testimonial from The Gold Family's Bar Mitzvah

Dear Rabbi Sugarman,

We would like to thank you for providing us with the opportunity to have a beautiful, spiritual and meaningful Bar Mitzvah for our son Ryan in the comfort of our home. It is exactly what our son wanted and I know that he will cherish the memories for the rest of his life. We appreciated the fact that you were willing to come so far in order to give us the type of service that suited our family.
With heart felt gratitude,

Testimonial from Fritzi's Bat Mitzvah

We found Rabbi Sugarman's website on-line and were delighted with the Bat Mitzvah service he could provide us. Rabbi Sugarman stayed in frequent touch with us during the months before the service. He communicated with Fritzi's Hebrew tutor to make sure that Fritzi was totally prepared and comfortable with all the prayers, songs and speeches involved. Being Jewish myself, but having no Jewish education as a child, I was happy to have Rabbi Sugarman help me prepare for the service as the Bat Mitzvah's mother. He came to our home the day before the service, letting Fritzi see the Torah she would read from and saying a blessing for me as I was given a Hebrew name for the first time.

The service was held under tents at our home with one hundred and twenty-five people in attendance. A violent thunderstorm with pouring rain added drama to the Torah reading, but Rabbi Sugarman put everyone at ease as he tied the current conditions into the history of the portion of the Torah that Fritzi read. Rabbi Sugarman's guitar and singing were a wonderful addition, and he had everyone clapping and singing joyously. Many of our Jewish and Christian friends and family commented afterwards on how meaningful and moving the Bat Mitzvah service was.

Rabbi Sugarman brought more than the Torah to our home. He brought meaning and significance of the occasion to everyone, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Jenny Ornsteen James.
